JPS are hiring an Operations Manager for our growing, technically innovative welfare cabin hire business in Harlow, Essex.
This is an office-based but hands-on, practical role — ideal for someone who has previously run a small hire branch, workshop, or service operation and enjoys making things run smoothly day to day.
Our hire desk handles the orders and customer side. Your role is to manage the how — getting cabins prepped, delivered, collected, repaired and turned around efficiently.
You'll be responsible for:
* Managing 3 fitters and 2 drivers
* Workshop / yard flow and job prioritisation
* Fleet readiness and turnaround
* Spare parts and stock control
* Transport and delivery coordination
* Third party repairs / warranty claims
* Raising standards and improving processes
We're looking for someone who is:
* An "all-rounder" with an operational bias
* Organised and practical
* Calm under pressure
* Mechanically / electrically minded
* Comfortable leading a small team
* Used to working in plant / hire / fleet / workshop environments
Salary is £40-45k depending on experience. This is not a corporate senior role — it's a doer's role with real ownership and the chance to develop and progress with this exciting high-growth part of our business.
