As part of our growth, we are seeking an experienced and result—driven Quality Control Technician for our Corby facility in Northamptonshire. You will be responsible for quality monitoring by checking the materials used in our production lines and recording results to ensure all products reach the necessary specification before being packed on site and dispatched worldwide. You will also be responsible for testing of manufactured products in a modern laboratory using state of the art test and measuring equipment. Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Normal working hours: 37.5 per week, Mon-Thurs 9:00 am – 5:30 pm & Fri 9:00 am – 4:00pm *Overtime may be required if necessary. Key Responsibilities: Inspecting and/or testing raw materials and products before, during, and after the manufacturing process to ensure that products align with company and legal standards Keeping a record of tests results, defects, analysing products, and overseeing procedures. Responsibility for acceptance or rejection of materials, in-process and finished items according to defined requirements. Perform laboratory testing of in-process and finished manufactured components using calibrated test and measuring equipment in a timely manner so as not to delay production. Assist the Quality Manager and Head of R&D with additional tasks as required. Candidate Requirements: Must have previous experience as Quality Control of factory production work from either a manufacturing, food processing environment, or as Laboratory technician using typical measuring equipment. Good attention to detail and a logical, methodical approach ensuring accurate measurements and figures. Ability to read blueprints, technical documents, and manuals. Experience of working independently and as part of a team. Critical thinking skills, to help work through customer problems and production issues. A desire to achieve the best and ensure top-quality products. Problem-solving abilities Time management Ability to recognise and follow international quality standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good computer proficiency. Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
