An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Social Work Assistant to join a dedicated Area Services team supporting children and families across Birmingham. Working within a highly supportive team environment, you will play a vital role in supporting Social Workers and Team Managers in delivering high-quality interventions and practical support to families across the city. The Role As a Senior Social Work Assistant, you will: Manage an allocated worker caseload under the guidance of Social Workers and Team Managers Support the safeguarding and welfare of vulnerable children and young people Undertake assessments, gather and analyse information, and maintain accurate case records Provide practical day-to-day support to children and families Work closely with partner agencies and professionals to achieve the best outcomes Prepare accurate reports and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders Contribute positively within a collaborative and supportive team environment Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, policy, and best practice About You We are looking for individuals who are: Passionate about improving outcomes for children and families Organised, resilient, and able to manage competing priorities Strong communicators with excellent report writing skills Confident working collaboratively with professionals and external agencies Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Keen to continuously develop professionally and contribute positively to team performance Why Join?
