Are you an experienced and passionate Social Worker, looking for career progression?
Pertemps Profession Recruitment are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join a dedicated Support and Protect team. As part of this authority’s Support and Protect service, you will work in a busy, supportive team assessing and working with vulnerable children and their families, intervening where children need support to provide help at an earlier stage. Child protection and court experience are essential.
The service maintains a strong link with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support for children and families when social care involvement is no longer necessary.
Successful candidates must be able to attend the locality for 3 days a week in the area, 2 days from home, with a 5-week rotation including duty weeks where you are in every day.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Applying your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and agencies to meet identified needs.
You will be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes for children, striving to provide the best results through best practices, with a passion for supporting children and families to thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and operate efficiently.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
* SW, CSS, DipSW, or Social Work Degree; creative, flexible, forward-thinking approach
* Experience in a Social Services Directorate or statutory/voluntary agency
* Continuous improvement mindset to achieve the best outcomes
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
* Experience working with various client groups within an agency
* Strong relationship-building skills with children and families
* Commitment to high-quality service
* Experience in multi-disciplinary, interagency work
* Knowledge of relevant legislation
* 4+ years qualified experience
Role Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of risks, protection, and social care needs
* Manage an agreed caseload
* Utilize specialist communication skills for optimal outcomes
* Develop individual care plans respecting diversity, dignity, and empowerment
* Support and advise unqualified staff and students
