3 months contract with a Local Authority Job Summary: • This is an in-person role based at a supported housing scheme. • The Supported Housing Scheme Worker will provide day-to-day support to former rough sleepers and service users with complex needs, helping them move towards independent living. • The role also includes administrative responsibility for residents’ rent accounts and ensuring full compliance with housing documentation processes. Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample): • Provide support to residents with the aim of promoting independent living. • Work closely with individuals with complex needs, including those with a history of rough sleeping. • Support residents in applying for Housing Benefit and ensure all applications are submitted in a timely manner. • Maintain and monitor residents’ rent and service charge accounts. • Set up and manage rent repayment plans, ensuring all payments are appropriately tracked and followed up. • Complete all necessary licence agreements and sign-up documents, uploading to the team’s CRM system. • Build positive working relationships with residents and act as a first point of contact for support and housing-related queries. • Liaise with other housing and support services to coordinate care and referrals. • Contribute to maintaining a safe and supportive environment within the scheme. Skills/Experience: • Experience supporting vulnerable adults, particularly those with histories of rough sleeping or complex support needs. • Good working knowledge of Housing Benefit processes and rent account administration. • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with experience using CRM systems. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with service users. • Ability to manage challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism. • Capable of working both independently and as part of a multi-agency team. • Understanding of safeguarding principles and confidentiality in a supported housing environment. Additional Information: • This is a full-time, in-person role based in a supported housing scheme in Bath. • Working hours are 37 hours per week, typically between 08:00 and 17:00.
