Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an approachable, organised and proactive Finance Officer to join our team.
As Finance Officer, you'll be part of a friendly and professional support team, helping to ensure the smooth running of the College's financial operations.
From managing orders and organising trips to supporting students through the bursary scheme, your role will make a real difference to staff, students, and the wider College community.
* Place orders (equipment, textbooks, courses, travel etc. within agreed timescales, ensuring all expenditure is within budget, and post journals to departmental budgets.
* Administer the student bursary scheme, including the assessment of applications within government guidelines.
* Arrange student trips and staff travel in line with College policies.
* Complete month-end tasks (e.g. credit card and trip reconciliations) accurately and on time.
* Act as ParentPay administrator and provide regular reports.
* Provide excellent customer service to staff, students, and parents.
* Assist with cash handling, banking, and stock checks.
* Contribute to College events such as enrolment and open evenings.
* Work flexibly across the finance and support teams, including providing cover during busy periods.
* Ensure all work complies with the College's financial regulations and policies.
