Highbury Lodge Day Nursery, Hitchin, SG4 9RW
Contract
Permanent, 0 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Working pattern
Varied, ad-hoc shifts between 07:30-18:30, Monday‑Friday
Salary
£12.87‑£14.33 per hour
Responsibilities
* Provide nurturing care for babies and children aged five and under
* Implement engaging activities planned by the Key Person to empower children through play and exploration
* Contribute to observations for children’s learning journeys
* Advocate for safeguarding and promote each child’s well‑being
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents and children, building strong positive relationships
Qualifications
* Experience caring for babies and young children, ideally in an early years environment
* DfE approved early years qualification level2 or above is advantageous but not essential
* Knowledge of child development and EYFS is desirable
