Overview
My client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy who specialise in Environmental Engineering and Hydrology, is searching for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join an established team based in Manchester. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary, substantial benefits package, training courses and career development.
It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Surface Water Drainage Strategy and Residential Drainage Designs in respect of S104 and S106 using Microdrainage. It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow. You will have the chance to be involved in residential, commercial, retail and renewable energy projects across the UK.
Responsibilities
* Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1, 2 and 3.
* Surface Water Management Plans.
* Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategies.
* Detailed Residential Drainage and Sewerage Design using AutoCAD and Microdrainage.
* Drainage Area Planning.
* Flood Risk Mapping.
* Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
Qualifications
* BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology or a related discipline.
* Experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Surface Water Drainage Strategy and Residential Drainage Designs in respect of S104 and S106 using Microdrainage.
* Experience with Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow is beneficial.
* Reside locally is advantageous.
Additional Information
This role will involve work on varied Flood Risk, Surface Water, Drainage, Hydrology and Infrastructure Projects for Private Sector Clients, Water Companies and Local Authorities across the UK, including residential, commercial, retail and renewable energy projects.
