Do you love detail, data, and wildlife? Wiltshire and Swindon Biological Records Centre (WSBRC) is looking for a methodical and reliable Data Officer to help manage and deliver high‑quality biodiversity data services that support nature conservation across Wiltshire and Swindon.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, friendly team at the heart of local nature recovery. Every record we manage helps build a clearer picture of wildlife across the county—supporting planning decisions, conservation projects, ecological research, and habitat restoration.
You’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the record centre, helping process biological records, deliver data searches and reports, maintain datasets, and support volunteers and data users.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with detailed datasets, has excellent organisational skills, and takes pride in accuracy and good customer service. An interest in wildlife, ecology, GIS, or biological recording would be a real advantage.

By providing a range of data services, we ensure that the data we hold is used to help protect the county’s wildlife and habitats.
