About us

The Green Laboratory investigates tissue morphogenesis and the action of morphogens. We use animal models to investigate the physical morphogenesis of tissues. It is part of the vibrant and supportive environment of the Centre for Craniofacial Regeneration and Biology at King’s College London, based at the Guy’s Hospital campus.

Progress on the project has define key remaining experiments to fulfil its specified Aims in preparation for submission of a manuscript within the lifetime of the appointment.

Advanced microscopy, cutting-edge biophysical techniques and genetically engineered mouse models will be used. The labs are well-established and located in the vibrant and supportive environment of the Centre for Craniofacial Regeneration and Biology on the Guy’s Hospital Campus.

This is a full time post, and you will be offered an a fixed term 6-month contract until 30/04/2026

Research staff at King’s are entitled to at least 10 days per year (pro-rata) for professional development. This entitlement, from the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, applies to Postdocs, Research Assistants, Research and Teaching Technicians, Teaching Fellows and AEP equivalent up to and including grade 7. About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

* PhD qualified in relevant subject area from a reputable university
* Experience with mouse models
* Experience with advanced microscopy
* Evidence of productivity, including at least one scholarly publication
* Track record of technical versatility
* Good record of collegiality
* Extensive experience with confocal microscopy and live imaging
* Experience with biomechanics concepts and techniques such as AFM, micropipette aspiration and/or nanoindentation
* Current Home Office Personal Licence
