Pensions Actuarial Assistant (Insurance Pricing) Permanent Reading Hybrid XPS Pensions is experiencing high growth and we are now looking to hire an experienced Pensions Actuarial Assistant to join our Insurance Pricing Team based from our vibrant Reading office with hybrid working. This role requires previous pensions valuation experience. The role: As a Pensions Actuarial Assistant with XPS you will… Carrying out cashflow valuations of funds considering buyout/buy-in insurance contracts Be involved in data and actuarial bases preparation using in-house standard approaches and the use of (MS-based) in-house developed software Produce complex actuarial models and calculations (Individual benefit and transfer value calculations) Develop a basic understanding of relevant technical issues, including scheme documentation, the supporting regulatory framework as well as TASs and Codes of Practice Report to the team leader where tight deadlines and/or budgets have been imposed. This role requires… Previous experience in pensions valuations is required Strong IT skills, expertise in MS Excel is essential.
