Offer description

Location: Bath, UK
Department: Audience Development
Reports to: Channel Manager (Off-Road)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

Are you deeply passionate about mountain biking and e-biking, and excited by the opportunity to work in dynamic digital media? Do you live and breathe MTB social media? Play Sports Network (PSN) is looking for a Social Media Channel Coordinator (Off Road Cycling) to join our Audience Development team. You'll be instrumental in managing the day-to-day publishing, performance tracking, and community engagement for our leading off-road social media channels, including GMBN, GMBN Tech, and EMBN.

You'll play a central role in getting our world-class off-road content in front of a global audience, ensuring our videos are seen, shared, and celebrated – whether it's the latest trail technique, an eMTB review, or a mechanical how-to. You'll be part of a fast-paced, collaborative team working across YouTube and key social media platforms, helping to grow the largest online mountain biking and e-biking communities in the world.

This is an ideal role for someone with a sharp eye for detail, creative thinking, a strong sense of organisation, and a genuine enthusiasm for mountain biking, e-biking, and other action sports. You'll be based in our vibrant Bath office, surrounded by passionate and friendly professionals across our production, and creative teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Publishing & Content Coordination (Off-Road Focus)
* Publish engaging off-road cycling and e-biking video content across YouTube and core social platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
* Optimise thumbnails, titles, descriptions, tags, and metadata to maximise discoverability and engagement for off-road content.
* Write video copy that reflects our brand tone and speaks directly to our mountain biking and e-biking communities.
* Maintain and update channel programming calendars for assigned off-road channels.
1. Audience & Performance Growth (Off-Road Focus)
* Track channel analytics to report on performance trends and inform content strategy for our off-road channels.
* Assist in delivering monthly reports and audience insights to internal teams and commercial partners, specific to the off-road segment.
* Contribute to "test and learn" strategies to refine best practices and improve content impact for off-road audiences.
1. Community Engagement (Off-Road Focus)
* Interact actively with our mountain biking and e-biking audience across all platforms – replying to comments, identifying common questions or issues, and helping viewers feel truly part of the PSN off-road community.
* Collaborate with the team to develop creative and engaging community-building initiatives tailored for off-road enthusiasts.
1. Cross-Team Collaboration
* Work closely with the Channel Manager (Off-Road), Senior Executives, Creative, Production, and Commercial teams to deliver high-quality off-road content and campaigns.
* Accurately tag and log videos to support commercial reporting and content delivery for brand partners within the off-road sector.
1. Platform & Trend Awareness
* Stay current with trends, algorithm changes, and new features across YouTube and other platforms, with a keen eye on how these impact off-road and e-biking content.
* Bring forward ideas for new formats, experiments, or platform opportunities specifically to grow reach and engagement within the off-road cycling sphere.
* Complete YouTube Certified training during onboarding.

Skills & Experience

✅ Essential

* A genuine, demonstrable passion for mountain biking and/or e-biking, along with a strong understanding of the sports, culture, and technology involved.
* Good written communication skills with excellent spelling, grammar, and meticulous attention to detail.
* Familiarity with major social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and a willingness to learn platform-specific best practices for content optimisation.
* A confident, proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Comfortable working collaboratively within a dynamic team.
* Ability to quickly adapt to brand tone and voice across various content formats.
* Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Drive).

* Previous experience in social media publishing or digital video for a brand or public profile.
* Familiarity with YouTube Studio, community moderation, or audience development tools.
