The Role – Business Development Manager
Working as part of the Magnesium Business Development team, you will manage opportunities within the Elektron Finished Parts product sector and generate new openings in this market.
Your duties will include:
* Developing and driving opportunities with current and prospective customers
* Identifying, generating, and commercialising new and existing opportunities
* Driving market and product development
* Working closely with the technical teams and producing literature for new product and market areas
* Supporting and coordinating new product introductions to customers and distributors
* Participating in the innovation of the product portfolio and helping shape future markets for growth
* Attending and representing the company at industry conferences and exhibitions
* Travelling to meet customers, distributors, and to events

What you’ll need to be considered for this Business Development Manager role:
* Experience gained working in a Business Development role, with a strong technical background, ideally gained in the metals, materials, component manufacture, CNC engineering industry.
* Positive approach and results-driven, with a focus on insight and strategy
* IT literate, with knowledge of CRM software systems and good knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
* Self-motivated with ability to use own initiative, prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
* Ability to work unsupervised with good time management skills to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility to travel internationally
Although not essential, being educated to degree level within a science subject would be advantageous.
