We are looking for a ambitious, passionate and driven Head Chef. Caistor Lakes is an busy restaurant / steakhouse which specializes in using fresh local produce. You will lead the kitchen team and ensure that our food maintains the highest quality. We hope you are ready to bring in some new and delicious changes to our kitchen and delight our guests
Head Chef duties and responsibilities
* Design menus that enhance customers' culinary experience while keeping up high quality. Working with current kitchen team and management input.
* Submit cost proposals for menu items.
* Ensure that all food preparation is in accordance with regulatory guidelines / EHO.
* Monitor inventory levels of commonly used items.
* Look for ways to reduce spoilage of infrequently used items.
Head Chef requirements
* 2 year(s) experience as a Head Chef.
* Ability to track expenses and manage a budget.
* Ability to lead and inspire a team, foster a positive and nurturing work environment.
* Strong passion for traditional dishes, and local produce
* Experience in restaurants seating over 80
Salary negotiable dependent upon experience.
45 hours per week.
May consider experienced sous chef looking for there first head chefs role.
