Deputy Team Leader / Senior Recovery Practitioner – WestWing Operating Theatre Department
Permanent posts available in the WestWing theatre complex, a 14‑theatre unit with 5 satellite areas, covering specialties such as Neurosurgery, Maxillofacial, ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastics, General Paediatrics, Paediatric Orthopaedics and Craniofacial surgery. The role provides care to adults, children and neonates.
Responsibilities
* Deliver recovery care for adults, children and neonates within the WestWing operating theatre area.
* Lead and support recovery operations across 14 theatres and satellite areas.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across all listed specialties.
* Maintain high standards of patient safety and efficient recovery processes.
* Support the structured orientation programme and appraisal system for ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
* At least 3 years extensive experience in recovery or critical care.
* Completion of an equivalent practice supervisor/assessor course.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and effective leadership skills.
* Self‑motivated, enthusiastic and capable of thriving in a busy team environment.
