Are you a commercially minded finance professional looking to move beyond reporting and into genuine business partnering - with real scope to shape something from the ground up?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, international consumer business with a diverse brand portfolio. Operating across wholesale, e-commerce and digital marketplace channels, the business combines a strong heritage with ambitious plans for growth and transformation.
With a finance function undergoing significant evolution - including the development of a dedicated business partnering capability and increased investment in data and technology - this is a genuinely exciting time to join. The business is investing in its people and its processes, and this role sits right at the heart of that change.
This Finance Business Partner role sits within the FP&A and Business Partnering team, reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance. You'll own the financial governance and insight across people costs and overheads, partnering closely with senior leaders and HR to drive forward-looking planning and decision-making - with exposure to executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Owning people cost governance across a multi-region business - including headcount planning, vacancy and backfill tracking, and cost centre reporting
* Leading financial analysis for pay reviews, bonus structures and ad hoc business cases, building proposals rather than simply inputting assumptions
* Partnering HR on workforce planning, organisational design and scenario modelling
* Supporting budgeting and forecasting across overhead cost areas (Finance, HR, Legal, IT etc.)
* Providing monthly variance analysis and actionable insights to senior stakeholders
* Contributing to board reports and budget packs for relevant cost areas
* Working closely with the accounting team on month-end processes
Candidate profile
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (newly qualified to 2 years PQE)
* Experience across FP&A or commercial finance
* Strong modelling and analytical skills, comfortable working with large data sets
* Confident operating with senior stakeholders, able to translate numbers into clear narrative
* Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a less-defined environment where processes are still being shaped
* Inquisitive mindset - focused on understanding underlying drivers and adding value beyond reporting
* Commercially aware, able to link cost decisions to broader business performance
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000
Location: Central London (4 days per week in the office)
