Mechanical Estimator
Location: Brighton
Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 basic
An established contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their commercial team, supporting the delivery of technically complex projects within a secure and highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of detailed mechanical estimates across a range of projects
* Take-offs and pricing for HVAC, pipework, plant, and associated mechanical services
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
* Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
* Producing accurate cost plans, value engineering options, and tender submissions
* Supporting pre-construction and commercial teams through bid stages
* Ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and security requirements
About You
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within building services or M&E contracting
* Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and installation methods
* Confident working with drawings, specifications, and estimating software
* Detail‑oriented with strong commercial awareness
* Able to work within confidential and secure project environments
