Nixon McQuade are working with a well-established and growing law firm specialising in insurance litigation, they are seeking a Motor Solicitor with 25 years PQEto join its expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse caseload of litigated credit hire and personal injury motor claims, handling matters progressing through the County Court and High Court. The Role: Managing a varied caseload of defendant motor claims, including credit hire and personal injury matters, in accordance with client instructions. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, insurers, witnesses and other third parties. Proactively progressing files and identifying the next procedural steps within delegated authority levels. Interviewing witnesses and preparing witness statements. Drafting pleadings, applications and other court documentation. Instructing counsel and attending conferences, consultations and mediations, both remotely and in person. Representing clients at court hearings, settlement discussions and trials when required. Meeting agreed performance targets and maintaining high quality standards. Ensuring case management systems are updated with accurate and timely information for client reporting. Maintaining compliance with professional and regulatory requirements. The Person: Qualified Solicitor with 25 years PQE. Previous experience in defendant insurance litigation is advantageous but not essential. Strong advocacy and communication skills, particularly over the telephone and in written correspondence. Excellent interpersonal and client care abilities. Solid understanding of litigation procedures, case law and court rules. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines. Confident, proactive and adaptable approach to work. Strong analytical and research capabilities. Good IT proficiency and experience using case management systems.
