About the Role
SAMH are looking to recruit a Team Leader within our West Lothian Housing Support Service. This is a fulltime post of 37.5 hours per week, core hours are 9am – 5pm with some occasional evening and weekends, as well as participating in the management back up on call.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team. As Team Leader you will provide leadership and guidance to support staff within our West Lothian Service and support our service users within the West Lothian area. The Team Leader will co-ordinate evaluate plan and review service user’s support. You will be providing mentorship to support staff and also liaise with external partners, as Team Leader you will have the ability to communicate constructively and confidently with multiple agencies such as NHS, Social Work, and CMHT.
What we are looking for
As an experienced Team Leader, you will provide positive leadership and management, whist demonstrating and evidencing the following;
Leading and managing team to ensure safe and effective provision of support to service users who use our support services, through the promotion of outcomes focused person centred approaches.
Reporting and evaluating of operational service delivery demonstrating delivery and development and ensuring accurate recording of data through Quality Assurance.
Strong communication skills and experience establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with key stakeholders.
Compliance with relevant legislation, contracts and service specifications, SAMH policies and ensuring practice reflects registry bodies.
Effective and efficient management of service including management of team, planning of rotas, providing direct support to service users, management of Quality Assurance, Health & Safety etc.
Skills and experience in developing services to ensure enhanced service delivery.
The working pattern is predominately Monday to Friday; however you may be required to work out with this is in line with service needs including occasional evening and weekends. There is a requirement to participate on the management on call rota out with working times. Access to own car due to travel requirements.
Knowledge and understanding of Care Inspectorate requirements, whilst working within Registered Care Service’s is essential.
Experience of managing and supervising staff team.
SVQ 3 or 4

Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, participation of management on call system is required.
