Position

Apprentice, Engineer – Saputo Dairy UK, Camelford, Davidstow, Cornwall PL32 9W. Full-time – 4 years.

Apprenticeship Details

You’ll make contributions that matter by completing a 4‑year academic and on‑the‑job apprenticeship to achieve the Food and Drink (Multi‑skilled) Engineering Maintenance Apprenticeship Level3. Included in the 4 years is off‑the‑job engineering training at Midlands Group Training Service (MGTS) in Coventry. You will spend 20 weeks doing this classroom training in year1, 14 weeks in the second year, and 6 weeks in the third year. The fourth year is spent consolidating learning and preparing for the End Point Assessment.

This apprenticeship also consists of: OAL Level3 Maintenance Engineering (Electrical and Mechanical), BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Award in Food Safety level3, and Principles of HACCP based Food Safety level2.

Access to the latest technology in a purpose‑built training facility equipped with state‑of‑the‑art machinery, dairy technology and software control systems. Potential to study to a higher level e.g. HNC or Degree on successful completion.

Qualifications

• At least three GCSEs including Mathematics at Grade B/level6 and above, and English Language Grade C/level5 and above.
• A‑level Maths or A‑level Science highly desirable.
• A keen interest in developing a career within Engineering and the food industry.
• The determination to commit to a four‑year period of study and hard work.
