Job Type: Permanent Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 DOE Bonus competitive benefits We are seeking a highly experienced Regulatory Affairs Manager to join our Europe Regulatory Affairs team, supporting Innovation & Portfolio Compliance and leading regulatory activities across the North Europe Cluster (UK & Nordics). This is a strategically important role which exists to protect the business, enable innovation, and ensure regulatory compliance across a complex and evolving regulatory landscape. You will act as a trusted regulatory partner to the business, supporting compliant product development while identifying risks, opportunities, and routes to market. Key Responsibilities: Lead regulatory input for European innovation and portfolio compliance projects, advising on claims, labelling, packaging, and product communication Provide strategic regulatory leadership across the UK & Nordics, ensuring full compliance for ingredients, recipes, labelling, and packaging Act as a subject matter expert on UK & EU feed law and sustainability regulations, translating regulatory complexity into practical business guidance Enable compliant innovation by partnering closely with R&D, Marketing, Commercial, Legal, and Supply Chain teams Manage regulatory risk, challenge, and issue resolution, including engagement with regulatory authorities and external legal or technical partners Develop and execute the external regulatory influencing strategy, representing the business through trade associations and regulatory forums About you Extensive Regulatory Affairs experience ideally within food or feed sectors, including pet food or closely related categories Strong working knowledge of UK & EU Feed Law, particularly covering ingredients, labelling, product communication, and packaging Proven experience supporting innovation and portfolio compliance, enabling compliant product development in a regulated environment Ability to navigate regulatory complexity and ambiguity, providing pragmatic, risk‑based guidance with confidence and autonomy Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with experience working cross‑functionally and with external partners or authorities Fluent English, with the capability to represent the business externally (e.g. trade associations, regulatory forums) What can you expect from Mars?
