Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Leader Education is currently recruiting a HLTA to work within a SEND Secondary School.
The school serves approximately 200 young people aged 11 to 19 with a range of complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and an increasing number of pupils with Autism.
The school is well-equipped with outstanding facilities such as a therapy pool and sensory room. It is also supported by a dedicated team of staff who are committed to enriching the lives of the children.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position based on a successful trial day.
The successful candidate will:
* Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
* HLTA qualification
* Previous experience working with SEND or vulnerable individuals
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Follow personalised curriculums and care plans to meet pupil's requirements
* Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively
* Participate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and delivery
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils
