Role: Contract Electro-Mechanical Assembler
Location: Herefordshire
Contract Length: 3 months
Rate: £20 - £24 per hour (Outside IR35 – operate via your own PSC or umbrella)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join a leading engineering organisation based in Herefordshire. This hands-on contract role focuses on the assembly of sub-assemblies, power amplifiers, and complete systems, ensuring precision, quality, and consistency across all build stages. The successful candidate will work within a high-spec production environment where attention to detail and meeting deadlines are key.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble power amplifiers, sub-assemblies, and systems from build documents and engineering drawings.
• Ensure all work meets the company’s strict quality and performance standards.
• Work efficiently to meet daily and weekly production targets.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, both electronically and in hard copy.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold a culture of “zero defects.”
Requirements:
• Proven experience as an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, ideally within high-reliability electronics or defence manufacturing.
• Current IPC 610 soldering certification (rework and IPC 620 experience desirable).
• Skilled in PCB assembly, wiring, and rework of complex systems.
• Computer literate with strong attention to detail.
• Eligible for BPSS clearance and citizenship of a NATO member country.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative production team.
