This position is fixed term until 30 April 2026

We are looking to appoint a Housing Services Co-ordinator to support the Tenancy Managers to deliver a high quality, customer-focused service, leading on providing effective and timely responses to a range of enquiries and complaints.

We expect our Housing Services Coordinator to be able to:

Provide quality and timely responses to a range of enquiries including complaints, MP and councillor enquiries, Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information enquiries.
Effectively manage a team of Housing Services Advisors, ensuring they support the Housing Services Officers in resource planning and administration.
Undertake duties on behalf of the Operations Manager - Housing Services and deputise when required.
Oversee the day to day running of the housing reception area in Smethwick.
Essential requirements for the role are:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience of delivering tenancy related services to customers.
Experience of dealing with complaints and enquiries to a good standard.
Experience of dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience of dealing of working on own initiative with occasional guidance.
Experience of briefing/providing information to elected members.
You must have excellent communication skills; a strong ability to deal with complex issues; a comprehensive knowledge of housing management functions as well as the ability to work in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

Numeracy and Literacy level 2 qualification or equivalent as a minimum (the successful applicant will need to provide evidence of this qualification)

Hours

37 hours per week
