The Role
GM Motorsports supports racing in multiple series including NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA, WEC, and Formula 1. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled CAD Engineer for our elite team. In this role, you will design and develop racecar components and systems, covering the entire product development cycle from initial concept to production. Responsibilities include designing parts and systems, optimizing using finite-element analysis, and participating in regular design reviews. Support to end users or customers post-delivery may also be required.

What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications)
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
* 3+ years’ experience designing automotive, motorsports, aerospace parts.
* Proficiency in CAD (CATIA or 3DX) and FEA tools (HyperMesh, Abaqus).
* Strong understanding of part design, materials, and rapid prototyping technologies.
* Solid and surface modeling skills.
* Innovative mindset and ability to handle multiple projects.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
* Passion for motorsports and team contribution.
* Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and aerodynamics.

* Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
