However as is the case across the United Kingdom there is a shortfall in our imaging workforce and subsequently our training programmes are not reaching their potential and delivering the best possible outcomes. The Practice Educator will lead the development, implementation and assessment of training programmes for Radiographers working at GOSH
Main duties of the job
Lead the development, implementation and assessment of training programmes for the Radiographers in the Radiology Team, assessing progress and critically reviewing working practices.
Work autonomously leading the development of education across the department
Provide greater access to training and development and within the department sites through both traditional and innovative methods of education.
Link clinical education and practice and assist staff in bridging the gaps.
Develop evidence-based practice across the sites working with modality leads to mentor and support staff to develop their practice.

* DCR / BSc in Radiography
* HPC Registration
* Post Graduate Qualification or relevant experience in specialist area

* Specialist knowledge of paediatric imaging with an expert level of understanding
* Experience of leading, managing, and developing individuals
* Good understanding of Radiography departmental structure and training needs
* Experience in leading on education projects demonstrating collaborative working
* Experience in leading on quality, governance, standards of care, clinical audit, benchmarking, performance standards and clinical improvements
* Experience of Mentoring trainees radiographers within a department
