Job Description:
We’re looking for a super-analytical Management Accountant to become a key member of our team, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an established Finance Team. You’ll be processing and understanding monthly transactions in our AXA Assistance UK entity to support business decision-making and populating MI packs with reconciliations of data to accounts. This is an excellent career opportunity to develop and maintain a proactive service, gain exposure to leading Business Intelligence techniques and provide accurate statutory financial information to the Senior Management Team and External partners. Once you’ve gained a good understanding of the Irish entity, you’ll be involved in the quarterly pricing process for the Irish business. In addition to this, there’s the opportunity to be involved with other entities processing the Internal Intercompany reconciliations.
Job Responsibilities:
* Supporting other areas of the finance team during times of low staff resource or staff absence.
* Performing ad-hoc internal control checks as deemed appropriate by the Compliance, Risk and
* Internal Control Department.
* Performing internal intercompany reconciliations and monthly permanent control checks for Group.
* Promotion and change management within the finance function, working with all colleagues in a collaborative style.
* Liaising with business managers to ensure accuracy and suitability of budgets.
* Preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts, performing variance analysis and production of commentary schedules for management and group.
* Supporting with analytical review of accounts and completion of balance sheet reconciliation.
* Preparation of schedules for regulators and other external parties (e.g. FCA, auditors).
* Production of the balance sheet and P&L accounts. Submission to group via AXA’s consolidation system.
