Job Description

THE ROLE

As our Technical Architect, your mission is to be an architect of our data ecosystem. You will design, build, and manage the robust, scalable data infrastructure, pipelines and data products to place our data at the heart of enabling our organisation. You will be a hands-on technical leader, personally ensuring that our teams, projects and data scientists have seamless access to high-quality, reliable data from a multitude of sources, empowering them to make better decisions faster.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning & Functional Leadership

* You will help shape the technical priorities for our company-wide data architecture, surveying new technologies and recommending the best strategies for data ingestion, storage, and access.
* You will act as a thought leader in data engineering, championing best practices for data pipeline development, automation, and data governance across the organisation.

Operational Delivery & Process Management

* You will personally lead and execute the design and implementation of scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines, consuming and wrangling data from various internal and external sources (e.g., APIs, databases, file systems).
* You will manage the flow of complex data from its source into our central data stores, ensuring it is clean, structured, and ready for analysis.
* You will develop innovative solutions to complex data integration challenges, implementing tools and processes that automate data delivery and ensure reliability.
* You will build outstanding data products to bring data to life, supporting insight generation and decision making.

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

* You will act as a key partner across our business, deeply understanding their data access, integration, and quality needs.
* You will build collaborative relationships across the wider technology and business teams to ensure new data sources are integrated smoothly and efficiently.

Data, Reporting & Compliance

* You will ensure data quality, governance, and integrity across all data pipelines, implementing robust monitoring and validation checks.
* You will promote best practices by creating and maintaining clear documentation for data models, pipeline architectures, and operational procedures.
