Position Overview
Mersey Care Foundation Trust provides community podiatry services to the populations of Knowsley and St Helens. We are offering this excellent opportunity for a motivated HCPC registered Band 6 Podiatrist to join our Community Team, on a full time permanent basis, to work with our Neighbourhood Partners in the delivery of a high standard of patient centred care.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Involved in the assessment and treatment planning for patients with a variety of complex needs, requiring excellent diagnostic and communication skills.
* Treat patients with long‑term conditions, with an emphasis on wound management.
* Hold continuing responsibility for the management of a defined caseload, ensuring continuity of care and acting as the lead person for communication to identified stakeholders.
* Provide proactive and responsive services that address the anticipatory and maintenance care needs of patients within a defined caseload via holistic assessment and clinical care for acute and chronic highly complex needs.
* Practice autonomously and demonstrate evidence‑based clinical decision making while working within guidelines to identify and manage risk, reporting identified risks to the team leader.
* Ensure delivery of the quality strategy within the designated area, including establishment of systems and processes.
Qualifications
* HCPC registered Band 6 Podiatrist.
* Demonstrable post‑registration/qualification experience.
* Excellent diagnostic and communication skills.
* Experience treating patients with long‑term conditions, with emphasis on wound management.
