The post is suitable for a radiographer keen to experience a wide range of modalities and support the development of a 7-day service, working with state-of-the-art equipment and optimizing image techniques across clinical and research fields. The role involves rotation through modalities such as CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and General X-ray, tailored to individual experience and interests. Additional rotations may be considered based on experience and service needs. Out-of-hours work, including on-call, weekend, and night shifts, will be required depending on rotations.
We seek radiographers with solid radiographic experience who will contribute positively and enthusiastically to the department's professional operations and future development. The ideal candidate will have:
1. BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent in Radiography
2. State Registered Radiographer
3. Reasonable postgraduate experience
4. CPD portfolio
Desirable criteria include experience managing workloads in a busy department, use of GE platforms, NHS knowledge, personal professional development in radiography, IV cannulation skills, and experience in radiographic imaging, especially CT, MRI, or interventional imaging. Candidates should be positive role models, team players, able to use initiative, manage time effectively, motivated, and capable of tailoring care to patient needs.
Additional desirable skills include strong interpersonal skills, proactive approach to change, extensive anatomical knowledge, understanding of pathological processes, experience in staff training, flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to cope under pressure. Registration with the appropriate UK professional body is mandatory.
