We are recruiting Behaviour Support Assistants to work across primary and secondary schools in Surrey, supporting children with additional needs in inclusive and specialist settings. This role is perfect for graduates looking to gain hands-on experience before pursuing careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health, Counselling, Teaching, or SEN support The Role As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN & SEMH needs Support children with ASD, ADHD, trauma-related behaviours, and emotional regulation Help pupils manage behaviour and emotions using positive behaviour strategies Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment About You We’re looking for someone who: Holds a Psychology degree (or closely related subject) Has a genuine interest in child development, SEN, and mental health Is patient, resilient, and empathetic Communicates confidently with children and adults Has experience with children or young people (helpful but not essential!)
