The firm is seeking to appoint a new solicitor to join its busy private client team. While the preferred base is the Lanark office, applicants wishing to work from any of the firm’s other locations will also be considered.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a minimum of two years’ post‑qualification experience to join a supportive, and well‑regarded department where private client work forms the core of the caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing a varied private client caseload, including:Drafting willsPreparing powers of attorneyHandling executry mattersAdvising on wider estate planning
2. Managing client relationships with sensitivity, professionalism, and clear communication
3. Handling, where required, property‑related matters attached to executries, including:Transfers of titleProperty sales connected to estates
4. Working independently while contributing positively to the wider team
5. Maintaining high standards of client service and supporting the ongoing growth of the department
You will have the confidence to manage your own caseload with appropriate autonomy. You will be a clear and empathetic communicator who can support clients through sensitive matters while maintaining a high standard of professional service.
