Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join the kitchen team at Fairstead House. This is a great opportunity to play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment in a supportive, food-led Education setting. You will be joining Holroyd Howe, one of the UK’s leading contract caterers, providing fresh innovative food services solely to independent schools and colleges. We are a team of experienced professionals who tailor our catering service provision specifically to suit children of all ages in order to meet the bespoke requirements of each school.

Key Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
* Assist chefs with basic food prep and stock deliveries
* Operate dishwashers and ensure proper sanitation practices
* Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
* Support the team in daily kitchen operations and setup for service
* Assist with service and delivery of food in a safe manner
Qualifications
* A keen interest in food and cooking, eager to learn and develop skills
* Good attention to detail and understanding of hygiene practices
* Team player with a positive and flexible attitude
* Previous kitchen experience or relevant training is beneficial but not essential
* Willingness to work in an education or high-profile catering environment is desirable
