Robert Half is partnering with a professional business in North Bristol to recruit a Payroll Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis.
This key role within the Payroll Team is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of payroll services. You will maintain payroll records and ensure regulatory compliance. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a collaborative environment.
Salary: Up to £30,000/year
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, permanent
Key Responsibilities
* Process end-to-end payroll monthly
* Ensure accurate calculations of salaries, deductions, wage increments, overtime, annual leave, public holiday pay, and statutory payments such as sick pay
* Complete year-end payroll processes including P60s and P11Ds
* Resolve payroll queries and provide guidance
* Support internal audits through pay calculation checks
* Set up new payrolls and pension schemes
* Manage auto-enrolment pension contributions
* Maintain payroll reporting and workflows
* Analyze payroll data and generate reports for stakeholders
Required Qualifications and Experience
* A-Level standard education or equivalent
* Payroll-related qualification or willingness to pursue one
* 1-2 years payroll experience
* Experience with case management systems (minimum 1 year)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Experience with payroll software
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent time management and attention to detail
* Team-oriented with collaborative skills
* Desire to develop professionally and contribute to continuous improvement
