Structural Engineer Remote / UK Wide (Home Based) | Notionally Manchester Contract Opportunity | Inside IR35 SC Clearance Required / Eligible to Obtain Overview We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support major engineering programmes within the nuclear and/or water sectors. This is a home-based role open to candidates across the UK, with Manchester listed as the notional office location. We welcome applications from both Chartered and non-Chartered Engineers, provided candidates have the right technical background and are able to obtain SC Clearance. Key Responsibilities Deliver structural engineering design solutions across a range of projects Undertake analysis and design of reinforced concrete structures Prepare and review calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications Support multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient designs Ensure work is completed in line with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client requirements Contribute to design reviews, technical assurance, and project progress meetings Support projects throughout design and delivery phases Requirements Minimum 5 years' structural engineering experience Strong experience in reinforced concrete design Experience working in the nuclear industry and/or water industry Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage deliverables effectively Strong understanding of UK design codes and engineering standards Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills Eligible to obtain SC Clearance Desirable Chartered Engineer status (ICE / IStructE or equivalent) Experience on highly regulated or safety-critical projects Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams Location & Working Arrangement Remote / Home Based Open to candidates anywhere in the UK Manchester is the notional office location if required Additional Information Contract role Inside IR35 Immediate / ASAP start preferred
