Acting as operational lead, the post holder will work independently, guided by broad occupational policies and specific local and national guidelines and is responsible for operational management of the Flying Start Health Visiting Team Swansea.
The post holder will ensure that the Health Board aims and objectives are clearly communicated to all staff within their area of responsibility.
The post holder will play a key role in communicating effectively and establishing good working relationships with a wide range of professionals, ensuring that the Flying Start, PCT group and Health Board aims and objectives, policies and procedures are clearly conveyed.
Main duties of the job
To provide clinical leadership and operational direction within the Health Visiting Teams, promoting the highest standards in a quality learning environment with the aim of improving the client's experience.
Day to day line management responsibilities of the Health Visiting Teams managing departmental priorities, workload, performance, appraisal, sickness management, initial stages of grievance and disciplinary matters. To establish and maintain effective collaboration and partnerships with external agencies including Local Authority and third sector agencies.
To demonstrate the ability to share specialist knowledge and skills within multi professional services.
