Optegra has an exciting new opportunity for a Staff Grade Doctor with experience in ophthalmology, particularly in managing glaucoma cases, to join our supportive team at Hampshire Eye Hospital. This is a part-time role, 2 days per week, 20 hours, offering a great chance to grow within a developing business with funded training and development programs.

The Role
We seek a motivated Staff Grade Doctor to support our NHS glaucoma service, providing clinical and surgical assistance. The role requires a compassionate professional skilled in glaucoma management and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose, evaluate, and manage glaucoma and other ocular conditions
* Perform diagnostic tests like visual fields, OCT, Volk, CCT, gonioscopy
* Manage glaucoma referrals
* Provide pre- and post-operative patient care
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals for treatment planning
* Participate in team meetings and service development
* Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations
* Educate patients and families on glaucoma management
What You’ll Need
* Medical degree from a recognized university
* Valid GMC registration and UK license to practice
* Experience in ophthalmology, especially glaucoma, and ability to work independently
* UK NHS Glaucoma clinic experience
* Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
