Education Improvement Service Officer - Improvement Advisor (ALN Provisions/PRU)

Conwy's Education Services are seeking an experienced education practitioner to join the Education Improvement Service to undertake an essential role in supporting and ensuring the best quality of education for all young people within Conwy schools. The role will focus specifically on support for ALN provisions and the PRU as well as learner groups.
This is a full-time permanent role to enhance the Education Improvement Service during an exciting period of transformation and development. The service is committed to providing bilingual support and challenge in order to continue to improve the attainment and experience of all children and young people in our schools and settings.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the skills and expertise to lead on and support relevant statutory and non-statutory aspects of education, particularly: school standards, provision and leadership in Conwy's Special School, PRU, Resource Provisions, Schools and relevant Non-Maintained Settings to ensure that they meet and exceed stated requirements, under the direction of the Education Improvement Service Manager/ALN Service Manager/Senior EIS Officer. You will work closely with allocated schools, settings, stakeholders and the wider Education Improvement Service to gather and share information and plan and deliver improvements to ensure the best opportunities for children and young people in Conwy and to provide wider support in link Local Authorities. The ability to communicate fluently in Welsh is essential for this post.
The post is paid on the Soulbury Education Improvement Professional scale and applications are welcomed from experienced school leaders with a proven track record of successfully managing education interventions to improve school performance. This could be in a school setting or as a professional within a Local Authority or Regional Consortia.
