Hays Social Care looking for Night Support Workers in Belfast for a Crisis Centre Your new company Hays Social Care is working with one of Northern Ireland’s leading homeless charities, who help put the most vulnerable people in our society back on their feet. Your new role This is an exciting opportunity to break the cycle of homelessness which some females experience. As part of a team, you will be responsible for the nightly management of an Emergency Accommodation facility and will ensure immediate and ongoing support for up to 10 females on any one night. The women staying on the scheme will have a variety of complex and multiple needs resulting in significant histories of trauma, repetitive periods of homelessness and will struggle to engage with other support services. You will have a responsibility for ensuring the facility is a female-friendly, welcoming, safe and homely environment. What you will need to succeed. 6 months experience working in a homeless environment or 6 months experience working with people with complex needs Understand the need for confidentiality Understanding the risks involved in lone working Able to manage challenging individuals and situations.
