Job Title: Office Assistant Location: Havant, Hampshire Salary: £25,000 per annum Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Company Overview Talented People are recruiting on behalf of a respected civil engineering and infrastructure contractor seeking an Office Assistant to support the day-to-day running of their Havant Thicket Reservoir site office. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone organised, personable, and proactive, who enjoys supporting teams and creating a welcoming, efficient office environment. Role Overview Reporting to the Office Manager, you will provide administrative and organisational support, assist with visitor coordination, site events, and general office management duties to help the team operate smoothly. Key Responsibilities * Greet visitors and staff, ensuring a professional and friendly welcome. * Maintain the site signing-in system and visitor records. * Prepare meeting rooms, refreshments, and catering as needed. * Manage meeting room bookings and update schedules. * Organise internal site events and wellbeing initiatives. * Support planning of team social events and staff celebrations. * Coordinate transport and accommodation arrangements. * Order stationery, welfare, and site equipment supplies. * Oversee coffee machines, water coolers, and service schedules. * Assist with printer and copier maintenance issues. * Liaise with cleaning contractors to ensure service quality. * Manage PPE stock and organise issue for new starters. * Support general administrative duties including laminating, security passes, and filing. * Maintain tidy and well-organised office areas. * Ensure professional communication with all staff and visitors. * Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture. Skills and Experience Required * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * Strong time management and attention to detail. * Professional, approachable, and adaptable. * Experience in a busy office environment. * Confident liaising with contractors, suppliers, and management. * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. * Full UK driving licence preferred. * GCSEs in English and Maths desirable
