Devon – Full Time, Office Based – Competitive Salary
A well-established and growing law firm in Devon is looking to recruit a Residential Property Legal Assistant to join its busy and expanding property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support a high-performing department within a modern and forward-thinking firm.
Based in Devon, the role will involve providing essential administrative and clerical support to fee earners, helping to ensure the smooth progression of residential conveyancing matters. You will play a key role in supporting transactions from instruction through to completion, working closely with solicitors, clients, and third parties.
Responsibilities
* Preparing legal documentation
* Raising searches
* Assisting with completion processes
* Liaising with a range of stakeholders such as clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
* Maintaining accurate records using the firm's case management system
* Assisting with general administrative tasks to support the wider team
Qualifications
* Highly organized, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
* Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with clients
* Ability to quickly pick up new systems and processes
* Previous experience within an office or legal environment advantageous, particularly within residential conveyancing, though not essential
* Open to candidates with the right attitude and transferable skills keen to build a career within the legal sector
