Job Title
Cleaning Supervisor – Permanent contract, Full Time, 25 hours per week – Location: Redbridge Community School, Southampton – Pay: £13.01 per hour.
Job Overview
Deliver excellent service standards for routine and periodic cleaning of a Mitie customer, ensuring high‑quality contract service delivery that meets all SLA agreements while adhering to the cleaning schedule.
Main Duties
* Undertake all required training to perform the cleaning role.
* Work effectively within a team and independently when needed.
* Adhere to Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
* Maintain the designated area to an agreed level of cleanliness, carrying out all daily, weekly and periodic tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
* Ensure that the service is delivered efficiently to a high standard.
* Keep all equipment clean, well‑maintained and in safe working order.
* Report any maintenance requirements identified during cleaning tasks.
* Maintain security – lock doors, follow lost‑property procedures, etc.
* Be fully familiar with the designated cleaning area, agreed work specification and time allocation.
* Have a thorough working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used by Mitie.
* Set a good example in dress, behaviour, punctuality and attendance.
* Follow all Safeguarding Policies and raise any concerns in line with Mitie policy.
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
* Ensure contractors and external visitors comply with security and health and safety while on school premises.
* Build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
* Undertake any other related duties within the job holder's capability, according to business needs.
Qualification and Experience
* Cleaning experience preferred; training can be provided.
* Reliable, hardworking and professional attitude.
* Ability to work to schedule and as part of a team.
* Capable of working independently when appropriate.
* Open, honest and self‑driven.
* Strive for continuous improvements in service delivery.
Additional Requirements
* Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references required.
