As a R&D PDO Principle Engineering Delegate at Baxter, your work contributes directly to making a significant impact on others. It's challenging work—and you're not on your own. As part of a wider Research and Development team, you will be the R&D representative in the Thetford Manufacturing plant; an SME onsite. One of your main tasks will be to lead, manage and implement design development and validation activities of intravenous and irrigation container systems or individual components, leading the design projects and ensuring the follow-up of projects within the defined project boundaries. You will also be accountable for the technical execution of design activities for the plant/quality initiatives.
What you'll be doing
* Define, in collaboration with related department heads, the plans and strategies pertaining to implementation of projects, in order to meet project timeline.
* Provide in-depth technical expertise on product design and usage, including material selections in the market and emerging regions.
* Support plant and R&D team members in creating and implementing sustaining engineering and new product development.
* Provide technical leadership in the release of new products/line extensions, product improvements, value enhancements, changes in regulatory requirements, supplier-initiated changes, and complaint investigations.
* Respond to enquiries from internal colleagues and external requests.
* Support the plant in analyzing complaints, prioritizing preventive and corrective actions, and conducting field investigations.
* Run Trackwise change control/tasks for R&D activities at the plant level.
* Be accountable for the technical execution of design activities for plant/quality initiatives.
* Ensure product design and risk considerations are integrated into key plant programs (MIPs, product initiatives, process changes).
What you'll bring
* Knowledge of product design and related therapy requirements.
* Ability to organize collaboration, including mentoring and supporting Change Owners and Study Directors.
* Interest in complaint analysis & resolution proposals (CAPA: Corrective And Preventive Action) using DMAIC approach.
* Knowledge of risk management processes.
* High-quality protocol & report writing skills.
* Ability to generate & formalize operating procedures.
