The Opportunity:
VTA Recruitment is working with a trusted business that specialises and provides a huge range of services to the public and private sectors across Greater Manchester. We’re looking for 7.5T drivers to join the Street Care team in a driving-based role — a perfect fit for newly qualified drivers seeking experience or anyone looking to move into a stable position. You will be working with a second driver, maintaining the cleanliness of public areas within the wider community across the Borough of Stockport.
Key Responsibilities:
* Complete Street Cleansing duties - such as removal fly tipped removal, manual sweeping and litter picking.
* Driving a 6.5 tonne tipper
* Operating alone, responsible for emptying 160 litter bins per shift
* Emptying communal bins
* Tending to areas prone to fly tipping, collecting the waste and returning this to site for disposal.
* General hygiene maintenance.
* Maintaining a professional attitude representing the company whilst working away from site.
What We’re Looking For:
* Driving Licence: Minimum C1 licence with Tachograph card required to operate the vehicle (or be willing to apply for one)
* Knowledge: Familiarity with the Stockport area is adventurous
* No more than 6 points on licence
* Available to start immediately
