Job title: HR Generalist

Reports to: HR Manager

Hours of work: 40 hours

Salary: £28,000 per annum

The Group was established in 2020 to consolidate various existing business interests spanning multiple sectors operating within various sectors including Retail (Greens Retail), Hospitality, Property, Frozen Drinks (Skwishee) and Pizza Hut Deliveries.


Role Responsibilities / Ways of Working:

As an HR Generalist, your role is crucial in supporting the full employee lifecycle, ensuring HR systems and processes are maintained effectively, and fostering a culture that aligns with the company’s values. The following outlines your key responsibilities and ways of working:

1. Maintain and update the HR tracker consistently to reflect accurate, real-time data on the life cycle of business issues.
2. Chase outstanding actions from relevant stakeholders to ensure prompt completion of tasks and accountability. Send weekly updates on tracker to the HR Manager.
3. Own and manage the Business Deputy system, ensuring,
4. Information is current, accurate, and compliant.
5. Data is maintained in a way that supports efficient and reliable HR reporting.
6. Regular audits and reviews are conducted to maintain system integrity.
7. Keep the master employee list updated in real time to reflect all changes including new hires, leavers, internal moves, and contract updates.
8. Ensure recruitment platforms and job postings are accurate, up to date, and aligned with branding and vacancy needs.
9. Ensuring all new hire data is entered correctly into HR systems.
10. Welcoming new employees and guiding them through the Onboarding process, company policies, procedures, and values.
11. Track induction progress and ensure line managers complete required training steps in a timely manner.
12. Provide general HR support and advice to managers on people-related matters, including Performance management, Absence management, Conduct and capability issues.
13. Draft and assist with issuing letters and HR documentation, including Disciplinary/Grievance letters, Return-to-work forms, Offer and variation letters
14. Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the HR Manager with appropriate background and documentation.
15. Actively promote and uphold the company’s values in all HR practices and communications.
16. Participate in engagement efforts such as employee surveys, communications, and team-building activities.
17. Assist in compiling and preparing HR reports for internal use, audits, or senior management.
18. Ensure systems and documentation are compliant with legal and regulatory standards, including GDPR.
19. Identify areas for improvement in HR processes and suggest practical, scalable solutions.
20. Keep abreast of updates in HR legislation and best practices to inform HR operations.
21. Work collaboratively with colleagues and management to implement changes that enhance efficiency and employee experience.
22. Support with the Learning and development of the HR Assistant.
