The Role
In this high-visibility position you will act as the primary strategic partner to the Sales and Marketing teams. You will challenge pricing, maximise ROI on promotional investments, protect margins across major retail accounts such as Tesco and Asda, own customer-level forecasting, evaluate the financial viability of exciting new product developments (NPD), play a key role in the S&OP process and lead, coach and mentor other members of the Commercial Finance team.
Responsibilities
* Act as the primary strategic partner to Sales and Marketing.
* Use data to challenge pricing, maximise ROI on promotional investments and protect margins at key retail accounts.
* Own customer-level forecasting.
* Lead the financial evaluation of new product developments (NPD).
* Play a key role in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
* Lead, coach and mentor Commercial Finance team members.
Candidate
We are looking for an ambitious, qualified accountant with ACCA or CIMA, strong commercial acumen and a desire to move closer to the commercial heart of FMCG. The ideal candidate is a constructive challenger who can confidently step into a room of non-finance stakeholders, translate complex data into simple actionable insights, influence major decisions, and prioritise effectively under time pressure.
Qualifications
* ACCA or CIMA qualification.
* Advanced financial modelling skills.
* Strong margin and trade spend analysis ability.
* Excellent prioritisation and time management under pressure.
* Self-motivated, can set the agenda, lead others and deliver results.
