Commercial Development Executive
📍 Hybrid | 💼 Permanent | 💷 £30,000–£35,000 + benefits
We’re recruiting a Commercial Development Executive to join a busy, fast‑paced logistics environment where relationships, pricing and commercial thinking sit at the heart of the role.
This is a hands‑on position, well suited to someone who enjoys working closely with customers and operational teams, spotting opportunities and turning them into long‑term business.
What you’ll be doing
1. Managing and developing customer relationships
2. Identifying new business opportunities and following up quotes
3. Preparing and checking pricing, including negotiating rates where needed
4. Working closely with operational teams to ensure smooth delivery
5. Monitoring customer performance, volumes and trends
6. Keeping CRM and customer records accurate and up to date
7. Supporting and mentoring junior commercial colleagues when required
What we’re looking for
8. Experience in a commercial, sales or customer‑focused role
9. Confidence with pricing, quoting or rate negotiations
10. Strong communication skills and a practical, organised approach
11. Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, operational environment
12. Logistics or freight experience is beneficial, but not essential
