Shift Patterns
39 hours per week. Rota: 4 consecutive days followed by 7 days off, then 3 consecutive days of work followed by another 7 days off.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and plan adventurous outdoor activities that promote confidence, resilience, and personal growth.
* Provide direct support and build strong, positive relationships with young people, supporting their daily routines and emotional development.
* Supervise the accurate and timely completion of all children's documentation, ensuring compliance and thoroughness.
* Monitor and record financial expenditure at the end of each shift.
* Uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards, implement risk assessments and mitigate identified risks.
* Supervise and support staff development, providing formal supervision and mentorship.
* Maintain exceptional care practices in line with Ofsted quality standards.
* Oversee shift operations and care delivery, ensuring care objectives are met and safeguarding concerns are reported.
* Facilitate effective handover with thorough shift handovers and debriefs.
Qualifications and Experience Required
* Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
* NVQ/QCF Level 3 or higher in Residential Childcare or Health & Social Care.
* Must be over 21 and hold a full UK driving licence.
* Ability to work 39 hours per week, adhering to the shift pattern, including sleep‑ins.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Experience working with young people aged 8‑18 facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
* Strong focus on adventure and active engagement.
Employment Information
Residence at the activity centre overnight during working days to provide consistent support to children. Accommodation and meals will be provided throughout stay.
