The University of St Andrews is seeking anexperienced inorganic or materials chemist to lead on the daily operation of anewly established Power-to-X (P2X) Facility. This is a fixed-term position for48 months in the first instance, with the potential for extension subject tofunding.
The role is central to the delivery of astrategic research facility focused on carbon capture and utilisation. Itcombines responsibility for the operational management of the facility with asignificant scientific role, including technical oversight, user support andthe delivery of research aligned to the facility’s focus areas. The postholderwill oversee the commissioning of purpose-built reactor systems and takeresponsibility for the safe, effective and efficient operation of equipmentwithin the facility.
