SEN Teaching Assistant - SEN School in Lambeth Location: Lambeth, London Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Temp to Perm Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Agency Contact: Scott at Remedy Education We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a well-established Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Lambeth this September. This school supports students aged 11-19 with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASD), speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and PMLD. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping these learners access education in a safe, structured, and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning needs Assist with personal care and mobility, where required Work collaboratively with class teachers and therapy teams to support pupils' academic and social development Implement behaviour support strategies in line with school policy Encourage independence, communication, and engagement in learning Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom atmosphere Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN Confident supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH, or complex learning needs Calm, patient, and flexible approach to classroom support Ability to work well as part of a team Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) A background in care, education, or youth work is highly desirable What's on Offer: Temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate Supportive team environment and strong leadership Professional development and training opportunities Competitive daily rate, based on experience If you're ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs, we'd love to hear from you.
